AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn police chief Tommy Dawson asked for shooting suspect Desmonte Leonard of Montgomery to turn himself in, but warned the public he should be considered armed and extremely dangerous following an incident in which three people were killed and three wounded at an apartment complex Saturday night.
Dawson said three capital murder charges have been filed.
Two of the dead are former Auburn players. The other death is an area resident. One person is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. A current Auburn player has non-threatening wounds. [Update: Eric Mack released from hospital] A sixth victim has been treated and released.
