PRESS RELEASE

On Friday, June 29th, James Edward Griffin was
arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana I

resulted from a traffic stop conducted by DTF Agent Greg
Jackson in Florala. Jackson initiated the traffic stop after
he witnessed Griffin's vehicle speeding on South 3rd
Street. Upon contact with the driver, Jackson, smelled an
odor he knew to be associated with marijuana. After
receiving consent to search the vehicle, Jackson found
several ounces of marijuana and several plastic bags used to
contain marijuana.

"Prevention is something that law enforcement
strives for every day in the fight against drugs. By seizing
these drugs, we can be sure they will no longer be on the
streets of Covington County," stated Jackson.

Griffin is currently being held in the Covington
County Jail on a $13,000 bond.
