Grady Edward Barnes Jr., age 62, of the Andalusia, passed away Thursday June 13, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Sunday from Mill Creek Baptist Church with Brother Carl Turman officiating, interment will follow in River Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.
Body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

Mr. George W. Evans, Jr., 64, of the Carolina community, passed away Monday June 10, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday June 14, 2013 at the West Highland Assembly of God with Rev. Joel Calhoun officiating, interment will follow in Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at Foreman Funeral Home and at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

Mr. Harold Gene Merrill, 76, of Red Level, passed away Sunday June 9, 2013 in a Troy Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 2 PM Wednesday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Red Level with Brother Merrill Davis officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation with family will be at the cemetery.
He is survived by two sisters, Erva Ree Odom of Red Level and Merlene Yancey of Troy; a sister-in-law, Ruth Merrill of Plant City, FL, his nieces and nephews, Susan and Ben Pynes of Luverne, Diane Childs of Troy, Wendell and Patricia Wells of Luverne, and Alan and Cindy Merrill of Plant City, FL; 13 great nieces and nephews, 4 great great nephews.

Mrs. Audrey Elizabeth Lee Little, born August 19, 1942, of Andalusia, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 in the Andalusia Hospital emergency room.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday June 10th from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Salem Cemetery. Brother Clyde Northrop will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas Lee Bolan, born July 7, 1967 passed away May 29, 2013 in Baptist Hospital in Prattville at the age of 45.He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Thomas E. and Ela Mae Rabren.
A graveside service will be at 2 PM Saturday June 1st at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Curtis Thomasson officiating.

Mr. Richard Lawrence Owen, age 67, of Andalusia, AL formerly from New Albany, MS, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at his residence. Visitation will be at Foreman Brown Service Funeral Home Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 3:00-5:00 PM with funeral services to follow. Brothers Brent Cook and Alan Joyner will be officiating. A visitation will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at 4 PM Sunday with graveside services following at 5:00PM at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in New Albany, Mississippi. He was the son of Lawrence and Sallie Owen.
Mr. Owen is survived by his wife, Sharon Louise Owen, two daughters, Shay Lorance Owen and Hope Louise Owen, a son, Hunter Richard (Heather) Owen, three grandchildren, Jackson Richard Owen, Addison Grace Owen, and Karson Louise Owen, one brother, Johnny (Wonda) Owen from New Albany, MS, 2 sisters, Sandra (Charlie) Williamson from Tupelo, MS and Joe Ann (Charles) Reaves from Rogers, AK, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl Greil Chesser, age 89, passed away in Gallatin, Tennessee on Thursday, May 23,2013.
Greil was born on August 4, 1923 in Red Level, AL, the first of ten children born to Eunice (Kervin) and Arthur Chesser. Upon graduation from Red Level High School in 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as a storekeeper, second class at the Auxiliary Naval Air Station, Brown Field in Otay Mesa, California, for two years before being transferred to the USS Albamarle (AV-5), a seaplane tender. He was aboard that ship when it participated in the testing of the atomic bomb in the Marshall Islands. Upon discharge from the Navy in 1946, he returned to Red Level and married Mildred Shaddix.
Greil founded B & C Auto Parts in Andalusia along with Thaxton Brannon, retiring in 1981. As a deacon at West Highland Baptist Church he served tirelessly and with great distinction for many years, known by all as a man of his word.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Wilma Chesser McIntyre, one brother, Morris Chesser, and a brother-in-law, Lavon Shaddix.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mildred Shaddix Chesser, his three children, Tonnie Chesser (Bill) Cooper of Panama City, Florida, Kathy Chesser (Danny) Gantt of Andalusia, and Dr. Bruce Greil (Joy) Chesser of Hendersonville, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Meredith Cooper (Robert) Yoder of Greensboro, North Carolina, Patricia Cooper (Andy) Hogan of Athens, Georgia, Justin (Meredith) Chesser of Montgomery, and Travis Chesser of Nashville, Tennessee, as well as five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Yvonne Jones Smith of Daphne, Joyce Chesser (Don) Rhyne of Mobile, and Linda Gugliotta (Jerry) Basset of Montgomery, three brothers, Bobby (Earline) Chesser of Red Level, Carol (Lynda) Chesser of Evergreen, and Ken (Melissa) Chesser of Georgiana, one living aunt, Lois Colvin Gipson and a sister-in-law, Louise Shaddix of Andalusia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Foreman Brown Service Funeral Home, followed by interment in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The pallbearers are to be announced. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the West Highland Baptist Church.
Family will receive friends one hour before the service at Foreman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the West Highland Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ruby Louise Davis Cooper, born April 3, 1950 moved into her heavenly mansion on May 27, 2013.
Louise was preceded to heaven by parents, Fairal and Ruby Jane Ward Davis; a brother, Robert Earl Davis; a sister, Nettie Wease Davis Cooley; sister-in-law, Sheron Davis; and niece, Kay Bush.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday May 29th from New Home Congregational Church with Rev. Dwight Underwood officiating, interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at 5:30 PM Tuesday at Foreman Funeral Home and at the church 30 minutes prior to services.
Louise is survived by her husband, Michael Glenn Cooper, her daughters, Chrystal Cooper Burgans and Laken Kaye Bush. Louise was “second mama” to Angie Bush Hutto, Jennifer Bush McDonald and special niece Kim Davis Savage; her two brothers and three sisters, L.K. Davis, Tommy (Alice) Davis, Rachel (Willie) Watson, Jimmie Lee (Jr.) Wilkerson, Eloise (Joe) Smith, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Davis all of Andalusia; 28 loved nieces and nephews, 33 great nieces and nephews, and 5 great great nieces and nephews, all of whom she knew and loved.
Pallbearers will be Jared Watson, Kerry Davis, Tinker Watson, David Cooper, and Tim Weaver.
