At approximate 2pm Tuesday afternoon WKNI gained information from a citizen that was passing by and seen Andalusia police Department at Open Heaven Ministries Church located at 111 Beasley St Andalusia, It was reported that it appeared to be with a possible search warrant. At this time there is not an official press release as to why or what the search warrant is for. However in recent reports in the local media and a letter from a local lawyer pointed at funds that were not accounted for from the sale of the old Coke plant known in recent years as the ACTS OF KINDNESS food distribution.

FROM The Andalusia Star News Online
"The AOK Inc. articles of incorporation state that if the charity ceases to exist, its remaining assets shall be distributed only to Open Heaven Ministries Inc., Dohoney’s church; however, at the time of the sale, it did not appear that AOK had been disbanded."
Dr. Steve Dahoney was over the ACTS OF KINDNESS and reports began to circulate around the community that the property was sold and that the money was used to purchase a private home for him and his family. At this time WKNI is not aware of any arrest but there has been a lawsuit filed according to reports by former/current ACTS OF KINDNESS board members. Dr. Dahoney has not returned any of WKNI's phone calls or text messages or emails. It is also noted that when WKNI went to the Churches website that it was no longer available (openheavenministry.us). WKNI will have further information once it becomes available. Again this is NOT an OFFICIAL Press release. Just information gathered from past media reports.
On Tuesday, March 4, 2014, investigators from the Andalusia Police Department served a search warrant at Open Heaven Ministry on Beasley Street in Andalusia. The search warrant was executed as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the activities of one individual, who has contact with the church. At the present time, no comment will be made as to the nature of the investigation except that the investigation has nothing to do with Open Heaven Ministry or any of the church’s activities, its Board members or this individual’s relationship with the church.
The Andalusia Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by the office of the District Attorney.
