Good Grief Charley Brown, The GREAT Pumpkins been Busted!

Early Friday evening Covington County Sheriffs Deputy Paul Adams made a Routine traffic stop in River Falls. When Deputy Adams approached the vehicle he smelled a strong odor coming from the car that to him smelled like Marijuana. He requested backup and River Falls Police Chief Greg Jackson and Reserve officer Thomas Huggins responded. Once there they ask for and got permission to search the vehicle from the driver. The search revealed two large Pumpkins in the back seat of the car. Officer Adams Picked them up and looked at the bottom of the pumpkins and found that they had been cut open and that an attempt to cover the cut someone had spray painted the Circular cut with orange spray paint. At that time Chief Jackson read the suspect his rights. They then opened the pumpkins and found a Taped package in each one and upon further investigation found Marijuana in each package weighing about 1 pound each. The suspect David Elliott with a Georgia Drivers License But told Deputies he was from the Virgin Islands St. Thomas. Elliott was taken to the Covington County Jail and placed on a $100,000.00 bond for Possession of Marijuana 1st and $20,000.00 bond for 1 count of drug paraphernalia. The car will be ceased if the title is clear and become the property of the Covington County Sheriffs Office.

WKNI TV 25 will Air the entire River Falls Public Forum held this past Tuesday at 11am and 8pm Saturday, and Again Sunday at noon.

In the early morning hours of Saturday September 22, 2012 agents from the FBI took Charles Dean Partin and Julie Ann Bethke into custody in Ohio.

Recovered safely were Ailene Mariz Lander and the other five children.

Limited details are being released at this time as the case comes to a close.

The BOLOs for all subjects and the stolen Toyota van have all been cancelled.

A full press release will be available Monday.

Cincinnati Police say Partin is charged with Interference with custody and statutory rape out of Chattanooga Tennessee.

Bethke is charged with Interference with custody

The man accused of kidnapping his pregnant stepdaughter in Dothan this week was caught in Tennessee having sex with the girl just two days before she was taken into custody by social workers.

A report claims a Hamilton County, Tennessee deputy caught Charles Partin receiving sexual gratification from the girl September 4th.  Aileen Lander, 5 months pregnant, was taken into DHR custody September 6, according to posts made to Facebook by her family.

Partin was not arrested and it's not immediately clear why he wasn't taken into custody.  A source familiar with the case said it could be because both he and the girl denied the act.

An investigation was launched into the incident but it's not clear whether Partin will face criminal charges in relation to the alleged sex act. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Janice Atkinson said she could make no comment about the case at this time.
